| The Invicta Watch company began crafting fine Swiss timepieces in Switzerland in 1837. Invicta watches are named for the word "invincible" in Latin. Raphael Picard, the founder of Invicta had the idea, radical at the time, that fine Swiss watches could be offered at modest prices. The Invicta Watch brand then all but disappeared during the 1970's when quartz watches were all the rage and the Swiss watchmaking industry was in decline. In 1991, descendants of the founder, believed that there was still a market for Swiss Watches at an affordable price. Powered by the success of the initial Lupah collection, Invicta Watch group has coninued to innovate with successful collections like Invicta Pro Diver and Speedway coveted by watch afficianados. | ||
